Hello and welcome to the “Show Full” channel, the channel that helps seasonal rental companies serene and ultra-profitable entrepreneurs Today I'm going to tell you about three books that really changed my life in this entrepreneurial journey that I've been on since June 2018. J' Ouverte Complet has existed since January 2019. There were different stages that took place through books , because for me you have to know that I love books. It has always been an almost sacred object. I was lucky that my parents immersed me in libraries when I was little and that created in me a kind of passion for reading. I have a very strong conviction that it is almost a crime against humanity not to read. Oh yes, it goes that far. I have a very strong conviction that the book should not be destroyed. Finally, here it is. Besides, dictatorial societies, the first thing to do is to destroy the books, so there is some truth in all that.
So, on the books part, I'm going to share with you three books, as I said, which really changed my life and which were key points in my entrepreneurial journey. You probably know some of them. I end with the one that was the biggest shock to my vision of entrepreneurship, and I think it can help many entrepreneurs. Because, in fact, it tells us how we do business and how we become victims of entrepreneurship, that is to say, really getting into a hamster wheel where, in the end, we left employment to create a business and we find ourselves in the same situation as if we were employees of ourselves. But it's the same problem and how to get out of it. So, super interesting. It was really, I tell you, a revelation for me. But so, it will be the last.
I'm telling you about the first one, you may already know, which is called “ Farewell Boss ”. I was at a friend's wedding abroad, on the beach, when I finished this book. So, it’s a real estate book by Romain Caillet, who is quite well known, which explains how he invested. So, this book is controversial, there are people who say it's nonsense, that's it. In any case, what I can tell you is that I was not at all familiar with entrepreneurship and I remember very well, it was in June 2018 I think. I think it's... well, I don't know, in any case, it was maybe the beginning of 2018. It was the Amazon algorithm that offered me that, because we were in the process of buying our main residence with my husband and I fell into the real estate pot with this book. And I wasn't at all familiar with that, in my family, we didn't particularly have this real estate investor spirit. There wasn't any particular knowledge about that. We bought our main residence and then, overall, afterwards, perhaps at the end of our life, a small studio. So. As we get older, generally speaking, in my two families, we don't have this logic. And thanks to this book, I really realized that it was something right now, that I could do and that it could change my life. That's how I got into groups on Facebook of real estate investors and that's how I realized that in fact, the job I did at Club Med all day, it could help my fellow real estate investors who were doing seasonal rentals, because they were exactly the same problems. Suddenly, I could provide solutions. So, thank you Romain Caillet for this total paradigm shift in my professional life and the fact of falling into the real estate pot.
The second book is also a man who changed a lot of things in my entrepreneurial journey, Olivier Roland. So, the same, very well-known book Not everyone was lucky enough to fail their studies . Dare I say I haven't finished it? Yes, absolutely, exactly. And there's a bookmark somewhere in this book. So. But the point, why I put him in my trio, is that I, as a result, took Olivier Roland's training, at the beginning, not really believing in it. Because basically, I had left my salaried position to create a company in another field, in the field of colocation, to create a colocation startup. I did that for six months and I stopped because it wasn't a project that suited me. Fundraising had to be done, etc. I didn't want that. That’s when I signed up for Olivier Roland’s training, the “Pro Bloggers” training. And so, I took that back and I said to myself but in fact this is what I need to do. I completely want to create a site with, therefore, the fundamentals, even if it was not a blogging site, but with the fundamentals, the methods taught by Olivier Roland. This allowed me to immediately create my own site, which is no small feat for a girl who knows absolutely nothing about it. It allowed me to have the fundamentals of marketing and to immediately acquire this method that I still value a lot, which is the method by which we distribute content so that people can evaluate whether it interests them or not. And that was really very important in my entrepreneurial life.
What's interesting is that it's a book in two parts. There are a lot of ideas too, even lifestyle, in fact, to become the person we want to be, to really seek out the life we want to live. The latest book, a total paradigm shift in creating a business, if there is only one that you need to buy, for sure, it is an essential reference when creating a business. And this book explains how to change the situation, how to do things differently.
