How to use Booking’s Genius loyalty program?

Hello everyone, welcome to the Youtube channel of J'annonce complet . I'm Guillaume, revenue management at J'annonce complet Genius loyalty program on Booking.com. So know how to use it. In fact, it is true that we can have feedback where customers activate all three levels of this program. For us, this is something that really needs to be taken into consideration. It's like promotions, you don't accumulate promotions just because it's available. It has to make sense, it has to have logic behind it. Generally, we recommend only putting the first level, which will really put us ahead compared to other properties that are not Genius .

There are several levels of Genius , three levels in fact. The first level offers 10% discount for the traveler. Then there is level 2 with 15% off, and finally the last level with 20% off. We generally recommend limiting yourself to the first two levels. We believe that the third level is not necessarily necessary, except in really special cases where the assets are in difficulty.

Another thing to know about the Genius is that when you sign up, it offers you dynamic pricing, where the discount can change depending on Booking's algorithm. We absolutely do not recommend enabling this. We recommend maintaining control over prices, because we are responsible for revenue management .

In the majority of cases, we recommend remaining on level 1 of the Genius , and only activating the higher level if the property is in difficulty. It is important to stand out, but it also depends on the city. If you are in a city with a lot of properties and yours doesn't come out on top, then this may be relevant. On the other hand, if you are in a small town with few properties and you are already well referenced, it is not necessary to accumulate the reductions. It is better to review your property or your initial strategy before thinking about too many promotions.
