Who is Clémentine, head of strategic pricing and revenue management at J'poste complet?

Here is the transcript of the video:

Hello and welcome to the I display complete channel, the channel which helps seasonal rental owners and seasonal rental managers to become serene and ultra-profitable entrepreneurs . Today, I have a guest star with me: it’s Clémentine. We're going to do an interview to introduce you to Clémentine. You already know her, she has been with us for several months, even years, I believe.

Welcome, Clementine.

Thank you, hello.

I'm going to ask you a few questions and then we'll finish with a quick quiz. You choose to know how you work and how you function. OK?

I'm afraid.

You are absolutely right. First question: where are you from?

Where do I come from, where was I born or where do I live?

Both.

I was born in Montpellier, in the south of France, but I moved to Avignon to live my dream in the countryside, buying a house with a large garden and a dog.

Second question: what do you do at J'poster complet?

I am responsible for pricing and revenue management . I take care of all new clients. All new customers who arrive with us go through the pricing for departure. We get to know each other, we get to know their strategy, we create a tailor-made strategy, we configure their pricing strategy, and we do the first weeks of optimization in revenue management . Then, we review the strategies for the following year. When revenue managers are absent, on vacation or during public holidays, we take over. As we have seen all the new customers, we get to know all the customers little by little. Some were there before I arrived, but now I know almost all of them.

Awesome. Very well presented. I have another question for you: what is your background?

Basically, I shouldn't have ended up in revenue management . I started with a BTS in hotel and catering because I wanted to become a chef. Really nothing to see. I did it alternately. It didn't necessarily bear fruit, I was a little disappointed, it wasn't really what I expected. I thought about it and said to myself that it was a shame to have spent two years in the hotel industry not to continue. During the BTS, we had two hours of classes on revenue management and at the time, I said to myself: “Ah, that’s cool, what is that? ". That made me wonder. I loved accounting and taxation, even though some might say I'm crazy, but I really liked that side of it. I found in the presentation of revenue management a very quantified, very table, very structured side, and I liked that. So, I continued with a bachelor's degree and then a master's degree specializing in hospitality and tourism with a revenue management . I decided to do that and I did everything to get internships in this field. Each time, I was told: “You have no experience. » Yes, but to have experience, we have to be given a chance. It's always this vicious cycle. I had my last master's internship at Appart City, a chain of aparthotels. I was hired afterwards and I liked it, it really confirmed what I wanted. After Appart City, as revenue manager for the south-west with 18 residences, I arrived at I'm showing full.

Why am I showing full?

I wanted to change. I felt like I had been to Appart City. I also wanted to change big groups. In a big group, we don't have much of a say. Decisions take time, go up and down, and sometimes we don't really know why we do certain things. I wasn't really in agreement with that anymore. I came across the job offer at J'poster complet by chance and thought it was a great match. I wanted to go to the countryside, and with teleworking, it was great. I didn't think I would be able to find a job in revenue management outside of big cities. There, it was perfect, I could live in the countryside and continue to do this job that I liked. It was a good match, and I like the start-up side of J'annonce complet. We make a decision in the morning, in the afternoon it’s in place. It's overwhelming, your day is busy.

One last question for you: why am I showing full?

I wanted to change, to be part of a smaller structure where decisions are quicker and where I could have a real influence. And teleworking allows me to live in the countryside while working in the field that I love.

Be careful, I'm going to start the quiz session, because as you said, we are a full teleworking company. We can sometimes meet up, but everyone works from home. Here's the quiz so everyone knows you a little better. Ready?

Yes, here we go.

Question 1: Do challenges motivate you or discourage you?

It motivates me.

Question 2: Do you prefer tea or coffee when you work?

Coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon.

Question 3: Do you work better alone or in a team?

Alone.

Question 4: Do you work better in the morning or the afternoon?

The morning.

Question 5: Do you prefer a detailed vision or a macro vision?

In detail.

Question 6: Do you have a work roommate? A cat, a dog, or do you work alone?

Cat and dog.

City or countryside?

Campaign.

Awesome, thank you so much for answering all these questions. It was really great to share this with you. If you liked this video, don't hesitate to like it and ask other questions. We will be happy to answer them and we will see you again for other videos on these subjects.
